Evan has two other ads that I'm aware of via Google search where the price of his car is $239,000.
SAAC Forum:
Offering CSX 4206 for sale
Ford GT Forum:
CSX 4206 offered for sale
Whether it's $229,000, $239,000 or $249,000, it hasn't sold in 3+ months. That would lead most people to conclude that the car is over-priced.

Totally disagree.
Not sure what market you're watching, but IMO it's very unusual to have classic or special cars sit unsold. Go to Club Cobra or GT40s.com. Cobras, GT40's are sold relatively quickly, but the KEY is they can't be priced $100,000 +/- over the market. I also watch both the new and used Porsche 911 market and there are GT3's, GTRS's, CGT's, etc. being sold quickly for hundreds of thousands of dollars depending on the model. Special and desirable cars sell fast if priced around market value.
Evan's Cobra sitting for 3+ months speaks loud and clear to me. Either it's over priced and/or he needs to advertise it to a wider audience. Alternatively, put a high reserve on it and throw it on eBay or BaT and see what the high bid is. Do it 2-3 times. That'll give him a decent estimate of what's it's worth.

Your words were "classic and special cars." The Cobras that are unsold, which were listed pre-12/31/15 are as follows:
Fiberglass CSX's - 3 (two are FIA's and one is priced at $162,500, with a "different" color scheme)
SPF - 1
BDR - 2
ERA -1
So, here's my point. With all due respect to the owners of these unsold Cobras, they're not ALLOY and they're not as highly detailed as Evan's CSX. And the $162,500 for the fiberglass 427 CSX (in likely a difficult to sell color scheme) is simply ridiculous, especially considering that Mr. Estes CSX4227 (ALLOY) sold for $160,000 or best offer.
Evan's CSX and Dave Brown's KMP are "one of the best of the breed" type ALLOY Cobras. They're not fiberglass and they're not the more common BDR's and SPF's. Evan's CSX and Dave's KMP are "special" cars. Evan's CSX is priced roughly $100,000 over the last ALLOY CSX sale. So, the fact that "one of the best of the breed" and "special" IMO, is still for sale 3+ months later tells me something. OVERPRICED.
The facts are the facts. If you think the seven (7) unsold pre-12/31/15 fiberglass Cobras are "special" in the Cobra world, then feel free to disagree.

I used to know where there was a white FAIM commemorative FIA roller stashed, still in plastic wrap and stashed in a shop. I believe it was alloy too. The owner wanted $150K for the roller. No takers and shop owner was not getting paid to store it or complete it. Eventually, I believe the bank came and took it.
