Too bad some people have the funds to purchase race cars, but lack the skills to actually use their capabilities.
Sure would love to see some videos of our former member actually lapping a race course in traffic in one of his "race cars". Just because you can buy a race car doesn't make you a race driver.
It's sad that some people's identities and egos are defined by what they own. Take away their "status symbols" and they revert back to being the "little fat kid that gets chosen last!"
Interesting that when we all called him out on his misrepresentation of his kit car to the general public he sells it. Once he was forced to accept it as a replica, it was no longer useful in plumping up his ego. Thus, it's gone.

Just thinking out loud. I'm probably wrong.
Wow, don't think out loud.
I believe you are dead wrong. I don't know Evan but his decision to sell had nothing to do with this website. He is a car guy, he moved on. He also appears to be very successful at whatever it is he does. God for him. From one awesome car to another.

Not for nothing but I think you just described about 98% of the membership of this board.

I'll be the first to admit that I've not raced my Cobra at a track, BUT I don't sit around on my fat a$$ either. Watch the video and if any of you want to form a team to compete this year in Monterey, just drop me a PM or email.

No thanks! My bones hurt just watching the video!
But I do know a gal in Seattle that would love it. She runs 10 miles a day, then kayaks about 5 miles or so, then swims across Lake Washington and back (2+ miles), then rides her bike who knows how far...
She is a maniac for this stuff. Does lots of triathlons.
I beat myself up doing extreme sports years ago and paying the price now!

Bernica, no pain no gain.
The point being is that some of our CC members were expressing that we all don't get out there a race our cars around a track, but there are some here that do challenge ourselves in other ways. Though I don't think driving around a golf cart and drinking beer qualifies.

Every person has different goals.
Mine: To be pound-per-pound the strongest man in the senior citizen golf league.

I'm curious how you know he doesn't drive his cars on the track or otherwise?

Wow. No wonder Evan always referred to so many as "the sour grapes crowd". Can you people think of any more ways to insult him? You sound like the people I remember from grade school, who maybe WERE chosen first, but are now mowing my lawn.

I've come to the conclusion that it is the difference between the enlisted men's mess and the officers club. Except there is no respect for the officers.

Oh, we're back to class wars again are we, "the wheat vs. the chaff".
Interesting coming from a guy who hasn't owned a cobra for several years but still feels the need to list CSX4005LA in his signature block like he stills owns it.
From where I sit, the only reason you are in the mess hall at all is that some two-bit desk clerk assigned you a vacant slot in the kitchen. Now spoon out those mashed potatoes boy and know you are serving a real man across the counter not living the past

... carry on gentlemen, carry on
Wow, that's quite a leap. And the insults have begun.
