Well, deduct about $40.00 for the whitewalls (Geez, I NEVER thought I would be selling cars with WHITEWALLS again...but seems about 50% of the 289s got shoved out of Shelby with his Goodyear whitewalls!) And the wheels are close to a wash price wise. Lets call it even. |

Did folks back in the 60s look at the slabside as "a Miata?" corvette stingrays and Jag E Type 1 had longer hoods and aggressive looks. Did American buyers like the Slabside shape?
Looks like a chick car, then and now |
Well, NYG, you're not going to make many more friends here with a comment like that. %/
But to your point, the slabside is a bit too British for my taste. There seems to be a bit of a backlash recently with the 427 shape but to me, that voluptuous/muscular shape is the "be all, end all" with sports cars. I don't tire from it nor fault it in any way. |

For me, the 427 represents the evolution of Shelby's work. The finished product. But throw some kidney bean wheels and performance tires on there, lower the stance and I'd own a slabside. |

it is now as cool as 63 years ago, for me the 2.0-design of the 2,6 ace rudspeed is the best, unfortunately bigger wheels could not be mounted so the slabside wheelarches were invented, imho a great step back in the clearness and simlicity of the design, all other design experiments for bigger and much bigger wheelarches mostly failed imho, respective the great differences between front and rear, exception eg csx 2001 and some mild race versions the 427 design solved that problem but turned the early elegance into a muscle-appearance those who think the 427 is more elegant must see the early design is for chicks ;) |

Rick's website shows a silver/black 289 slab coming to shore soon and the 1 pic of that car looked very nice. |

The Hailbrand Kidney Bean wheels are six pin drive and you still have the splines so you can swap out the pins for bolts and run the wires. Best of both worlds................. |
Princess Blue is the same color Shelby referred to as "Viking Blue", correct?
"Viking Blue" doesn't upset my masculine sensibilities. DD |

Yup. Can do.
We can "Mix 'n Match" options between the street roadster and the FIA/USRRC models. FIA hood scoop? No problem. Race dash? Sure! |
