Default First drive of the year

76 and sunny today so got the Cobra out for the first drive of the year. Feels great to be on the road again and dang this car is a Rock Star! So many people looking, waving, taking pics. We were at lunch and these kids at the table next to us were discussing whether or not it was a real Cobra. One of them pulled up a Cobra that sold at Auction for a couple million and decided it must not be a real one.

Fun day!

Took mine out for a 250 mile jaunt Friday. Went to Niagara Falls to visit a new cobra owner, take a look at his vehicle and offer some suggestions. Then on to Fort Erie, Ontario to visit with a fellow vintage race car driver, and then back home. penny of people waving and coming over to see the car. It was a beautiful day.

Sawdust,

How far north of Toronto are you? I will be at Mosport June 18-19 racing my MGB at the Canadian Vintage Grand Prix in June. Would like to see your car if I get the chance.

The weather was simply glorious today in Ottawa, so I fired up the Beast after its looooooong winter slumber. All systems were Go, so I managed to pack in four hours of seat time, cruising the back roads of the Nation's Capital. Ooooooh-ahhhhh!!!

The wife and I got in a couple of hours of driving today and it was wonderful! Perfect weather and the cars were running great after sleeping all winter. Checked fluid levels, couple of pounds of air and they fired right up. Stored them with full talks of premium and I miss the smell of the racing fuel I usually run in mine, but did about 100 miles so I have room in the tank for the 50/50 mixture that works so well. Get them out guys and run what you brung!!

I didn't make anywhere near 100 miles but I tooled around for about 45 minutes in mine today. I got a couple thumbs up and a bunch of hooting and questions from an SUV full of kids. It was a beautiful morning for a drive.

Went out with our Cobra Club today and logged 162 miles. Perfect weather in the low 80's with beautiful green countryside and a couple GT40's along to boot.

I am about 1 1/2 hours north of Toronto in cottage country. Let me know your schedule maybe we can meet up?

So glad you got a chance to take the beast out. It was a beautiful day today, lots of sunshine and good temps. When I fired up the beast I couldn't help but smile It just seemed like it has been forever since I heard the rumble
