What about this story from King Cobra forum about injunction against auctioning it?
Isn't the timing of this just about the time of the Monterey auctions? Seems to me how the Foundation spends its money is a separate issue from if they have a right to sell the car. But I'm no lawyer

The site was down so here is the final update
The car sold for $12.5M (plus fees). It was bought by Greg Miller, son of Larry H Miller, well known Shelby collector. The car will make its first public appearance at the Shelby American Collection annual fundraiser on 3-Sep in Boulder. Since the Miller track has been sold and the museum closed most of the collection has been moved to Boulder, so there is a good chance this will be it's (semi-) permanent home. |
$12.5mil? Would you Cobra experts say that is a bargain?
