Default Tremec TKO breather leaking

My TKO tremec was leaking generous amounts of oil out of the breather at the top front of the trans case.
I removed the small cap from the breather and then connected a 2 foot long hose to the stub on the case. I looped the hose up and around a bracket on the firewall, similar to venting the rear housing. A 30 mile test run shows no leaking at all.
Crimped cap on breather can be pried off, and contains a spring and plastic disc to cover breather hole.
Now I have to power wash bottom of car to remove trans oil and dirt.

You might want to check the fluid level to as I suspect the trans is overfilled.

Trans fluid level has been checked multiple times. Even left about a half inch low to see if that made a difference. It did not. I have only used the GM synchromesh (recommended fluid) so I don't believe that was a problem. I have logged several hundred miles of various driving with no leaking from the installed tube on the breather. Similar to breather on 9" rear housing.
