With tax guessing 10-12% its $750,000
For not much more you can have the real deal and forget the ever popular question "Is that real?" which in this case as with most of us, nope....
Not trying to spark a flurry of real vs replica but just saying that's a lot of dough...

csx 2082 was sold at the RM Sotheby's auction in London UK on Wed, Sep 7, 2016. at a hammer price of £410,000...
that is much cheaper than the replica

Or maybe Alan figures that if he charges so much money he might actually be able to deliver on what he says he will? Because in the past he has always managed to screw up, like take deposits and get a few cars out and then close up shop and go into hiding. Or maybe he will just continue with the plan as usual but keep the larger deposits on the higher priced cars and maybe 1 or 2 of the 9 get completed before he goes into hiding again.

They are also making Genuine AC Cobra in addition to the nine 1962 spec but also AC Cobras with all GM Powertrain. Genuine AC Cobras with from the factory with a CHEVY.

that is anything else, but not a genuine cobra, no genuine company, no rights for the name, no genuine engine, no genuine body...

Alan does have the rights to the AC name. He just does not seem to have the capability to deliver product with any consistency. Giving him a deposit for something is probably like playing the lottery, you have a slight chance of getting something, but more likely not.

AC stopped being AC in 1986, the rights for the company name isn't the genuine company, and what about the rights for the 'cobra' name?

They would be better off building an exact 1964-5 Cobra! It would be much harder to build the exact 1962 variant as much of the pieces are no longer manufactured or reproduced, things like...
1) narrow whelk arches, non-vented body
2) 5 1/2" wire wheels
3) generator mounting brackets
4) 260 specific parts
5) gauges
6) thinner gauge frame tubing
7) worm and sector steering and suspension components
8) shifter handles and knobs
9) various trim items
10) cooling system
....and the list can go on and on!
