Default 2017 Shelby Birthday Car Show at Petersen Museum

We had an amazing time at the Shelby bday show at the Petersen Museum yesterday. While Shelby shows are little 'Mustang heavy' for my taste, there were still plenty of quality Cobras. It was a typical California show with many people coming late and leaving early but we still had a great time shooting the sh!t with Luis from McCluskey, Lynn Park (with his 'Son of Dirtbag'), Mike McCluskey and a list of original CSX owners, not to mention the sexiest Kirkham Roadtser I've seen.
In case people aren't familiar, here's a pic of Lynn's 'Son of Dirtbag'.

lynn park really created a very cool kirkham slabside which looks like a true barnfind, probably he installed all the original but replaced stuff he collected over decades and never threw away,
i saw a lot of cool pics from lynn but no sure if i can post them here, so maybe @rodneym can post some other pics, the red interior and the engine compartment are awesome

I have seen it in the flesh.... Yes, old parts have been key to the look.

"So what am I, chopped liver?"

Chopped liver was traditionally served as a side dish rather than a main course. The phrase, therefore may have originally meant to express a feeling of being overlooked, as a "side dish."

And then there was this guy we all know and love named Rick. A real Cobra fanatic.
He has a real sweet CSX and some stories to boot.
The rest is up to you, Rick!

I'd love to see more pictures of Son of Dirtbag if you have them.

Shelby Cruise-In at the Petersen 2017 Photo & Image Gallery

There's this great tool called "Google." You should check it out sometime. Roughly 150 pics here of the show and they even included some close-ups of Son of Dirtbag, a few of Anthony's unrestored CSX 3047, and even a couple (albeit not close-up) of Rodney's sensational and over-the-top "Diablo Negro."

You're welcome.

Well, searching is a lot of work. And then I'd have to sort through a lot of modern Mustangs and various uninteresting and/or butt-ugly cars that I don't really care about. I'm American. I need instantaneous gratification. I don't want to have to work for stuff.
