Default Hey RodKnock, have you seen this real original Cobra with only 6 miles?

Hey RodKnock, have you seen this real original 1965 Cobra with only 6 miles?

I wonder if Evan had the correct Lakewood bell housing with the date coded vintage sticker like this one does.

It's a nice CSX 4000 and a favorite color. Low miles, for sure. Great collection!

It is a nice car. I don't understand why the guy does not want to drive it though.

I think Evan and RodKnock would both have problems with the terminology used in the video.

Those aren't the three wise men.

Nice car. I thought they were going to take it out for spin and they just backed it up onto the turntable. That was a letdown.

At what point did the 4000/6000 CSX cars stopped putting rivets around the front of the hood? I always liked that look. Wonder why they stopped and when.

Hopefully side "A" will stay on side "A" and side "B" will stay on side "B" and someone will at some point answer my rivets question with an insightful answer!!!! : )

I don't know if there is a good answer to that. If we are talking about fiberglass bodied cars, the cars were first built in Las Vegas, but later sourced from both Mexico and South Africa. It is possible that only the early cars from Vegas had the rivets? But that is just speculation on my part.

Yeah... seems like no real definitive answer. I noticed that SPF still use the rivets on their car and since they are basically the manufacture of the glass bodies for Shelby seems odd their not used on them. I'm guessing SAI requested them not to for whatever reason.

You might check with the SAAC CSX4000 registrar on the The Official SAAC Forum - Index. If anyone would know about rivets or no rivets, then he would. There's an "Ask The Registrar" section.

What you really need is an "Ask the Bull Frog" section. I hear them outside my window at night talking about rivets all the time....

Ya know I was going to say something like: Are you sure you're not hearing them at night talking about "beige sucks."

But I decided not to post it, because I didn't want to hurt your feelings.

I was going to embed a youtube "Frog making the rivvettt sound" vid, but I decided to save the bandwidth. I thought it was actually a pretty clever post but, again, I tend to crack myself up pretty easily....

You should think about doing that more often.
