The 4150 model number applies to numerous carburetors, with many internal differences. What 'list number' is on the front of the choke horn? Here's a good article on spacers which gets into the discussion of 4-hole vs. open, as well as some of the other designs (e.g. hybrid). You will, of course, be using a lower height spacer than some of those they're talking about. Carburetor Spacers - Open And Four-Hole Spacers - Hot Rod Network
