Default Texas To Starting To Revoke Titles On Dune Buggies, Sand Rails, and Other Kit Cars

Anyone see any issues on how this could morph into our world?

When these people (bureaucrats) get their way here...don't think your car isn't next.

In California cars registered under SB100 are in the DMV computer system as "GROSS POLLUTERS". Think where the media will take that somewhat ?! prejudicial title when they present their case to the public.

Not too far off we will need to buy CARBON CREDITS and file for a permit to move the cars...of course, that's after the GPS systems are mandated for the...."GROSS POLLUTERS".

CA has plans for an extra 1000 per year fee for ALL old vehicles. We have to save the planet some how!

California is a republic of fools led by morons and idiots. They have already taken away our right to have the emission exempt years advanced by one year each year and don't want us to use the year of manufacture of the engine any more. And this ridiculous tax they added to all cars registration and the gas for the repair of roads will go right into Moonbeam and his wealthy friends pockets just like the last big gas tax did. And road repair at all will be in Southern Cal. around the wealthy people homes so they don't damage their million dollars cars when driving them. Also making their cars emission exempt because they buy these dam politicians into office should be stopped.

Hollywood may have lots of money, but it does not have that many votes. So who is voting? How did the state that elected Ronald Reagan, veer so left? Are you a rare minority or not? Did California import these voters or did they raise there children to think this way?

Curious minds want to know.

I've lived in CA all my life. I'm a conservative, pay my taxes, am a life member of the NRA, a life member of the VVA, and straight. I have no idea where this State took a big left turn, but I'm ashamed to be a resident of this State.

I don't see that happening in Washington State...there are more than a dozen Billionaires here that have large classic car collections (see the museum in Tacoma)....I don't think the legislators are going to tell people like McCaw and Gates they can't drive their cars on public roads....Perkins and Coie have dozens of vey expensive and clever lawyers.

Never under estimate a liberals ability to pass laws for the masses that do not apply to themselves.

It's simple, put a tax on it that only a rich person can afford. They can afford to continue to do what you cannot.

Hollywood doesn't elect our crooked politicians. Orange County and the Bay area do. They have more money than the Hollywood fools and there are enough of them to elect whoever pays them the most. Our politicians don't even come up North to campaign because we don't have enough money or votes to make any difference.

I'm kind of with Olddog on the mystery of California politics Ron. I've only visited out there 2 or 3 times and appreciate the beauty of the State, but the liberal craziness - wow, don't think I could live out there and keep my blood pressure down. It is an interesting question as to how a state that elected Ronald Reagan as Governor also elected Governor Moonbeam and all the other crazies out there they sent to Washington - Nancy, Feinstein, crazy Maxine - good grief. I know there is a lot more to it than I understand.

Hey, I'm a "Bay Area liberal crazy" and I also own a Cobra. Trust me, we think similarly about the other end of the political spectrum. Let's not stray into politics. It'll get messy and the thread will be shut down.

Any opportunity for fact based rational political dialog is over in America...people parroting spin and talking points are incapable of critical thinking......Humpty Dumpty is broke and all the king's horses and all the king's men can't put him together again....

Stick to car talk...no one gives a krap about your religion or politics...those are faith based beliefs ...

You guys do realize the irony here right? The revocation of dune buggy and sand rail titles is taking place in TEXAS, which consists of ALOT of old white gun-toting conservative Republican men.

DOH!

No one is going to....I have no problem with taking action, voting, petitioning your representatives, attending meetings.....ect....the problem I have is with partisan name calling and demonizing....
