Virtual 427FE/TKO installation into Autokraft Mk IV
Virtual 427FE/TKO installation into Autokraft Mk IV
Currently removing the 302 EFI from my ‘93 Autokraft Mk IV, in readiness for the all alloy 427FE, RM-6057 and TKO 600, sitting alongside, awaiting installation.
As the car is built, complete with composite internal footwell/trans tub that cannot realistically be removed, installation is not so straightforward. The car is RHD and that makes the 1/2" offset motor vs. footwell space a big issue, as is driveshaft angle. I'm currently optimised at 4 degrees, whereas the original Mk IV runs at 6 between the UJ's. It's a far bigger compromise than LHD, where everything works in your favour.
Anyhow, to help anticipate as many problems in possible, yesterday I painstakingly and accurately measured up the drivetrain and converted the data into a CAD drawing. Maybe somebody else will find useful
