The backstory supposedly is the owners mechanic was killed while riding a motorcycle and the owner simply didn't want anyone else touching the cars so they were stored and later forgotten.

I guess the best thing is that both cars are on the market, and may someday be back on the road.

The 428 was accurate for these cars. I would think the original 428 w/toploader would make this car more desirable than a 427 replant. Same with the narrow Sunburst wheels.

I read a few replies on the provided link. I like this one best:
"Cool can’t wait for them to get cleaned sold and then parked in someone else’s garage for 27 years. "

I thought I read a post on here from a few years ago that stated the SAAC knew where all the Cobras were located and who owns them.
This being the case, how do we have any "barn finds"? Maybe the Ferrari, but surely not the Cobra.

My first reaction was to reach into my bookshelf and look what the registry says, but I reached for an empty cavity.. It's stored elsewhere.
Let's hear what the registrar says, if he reads this and likes to respond :-)
They probably knew about the car, but couldn't access it. It's about timing sometimes.

He didn't just leave 2 cars. He actually left a few more, including a TR-6 and a Morgan, which he plans to keep. His mechanic was killed in a motorcycle accident and the owner didn't know anyone else he could trust to look after his cars. So he parked them until one might be located. Then he got older. He's now in his late 80's.
