Default Lower edge reinforcing for drop-centre dashboard?

What have you builders and/or manufacturers used for strengthening the lower edge of a drop-centre dash panel?

(I know that an ERA 289FIA uses an "aluminum channel piece that spans the cockpit" on their flat bottomed FIA dash panel [thank you, my ERA contact])

Cheers,
Glen

as i built my own dash panel, i curved the lower edge to 90deg, what made it much more rigid.
You can have the same effect with an angled aluminum strap bond to the back of the dash. I did that on an other dash as well and used the strap to hold the hidden 12v plug.

Thanks monster. Yes, have made my own dash as well (OK, so I had one made ....to my design).
Thinking along similar lines, with supports going back to the firewall, unless there are better solutions that I haven't thought of yet.

Cheers,
Glen

Glen,

i forgot to write that i also added the support "bar" going from the mid (backside) of the dash back to inner side of the firewall like as you mentioned. This helps to avoid that the dash is vibrating.
