Default New Cobra Club Magazine

Hi,

This is the first issue of our club magazine, which we have decided to make freely available to anyone with an interest in Cobras. We’re a very new and small club, predominantly UK based, but we have great members with some lovely cars.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Nicely done, and very impressive first issue.

Thanks for sharing - great start. Just a couple of little things: First - In Peter Adams' running report, it would've been nice to have seen some info on the car in the article; for example who was the manufacturer?
Secondly - and admittedly this is a pet peeve, but even a club magazine should get this right - the plural of "Cobra" is "Cobras" not "Cobra's" no apostrophe required.
Forgive the nitpicking - it's really nice to see an enthusiast magazine for Cobra lovers. For upcoming issues, how about an article on what's happening with (formerly known as?) Dax and an update on what Gary Sanders is up to with his innovative XCS Cobras.

Thanks Buzz.

Peter's car is a Hawk.

If that was the only typo you found Buzz, I'm not too disappointed. I think I can say with some degree of confidence that Lee knows the difference between Cobras and Cobra's and that this was simply a typing error.

That said, we clearly need to improve our proof reading procedure....do you want to take on the task?

With regard to Dax and XCS, there are numerous professional kit-car publications to cover those subjects. We're more interested in genuine Cobras (no apostrophe ) and "replicas".

Nice job for the first issue. I hope that it goes well and maybe some of the other clubs will start putting out a magazine. That would be an interesting way to get members to participate.

Understood Paul. I can see where cars like the Dax, XCS, Gardner Douglas, etc. would fall outside of the true replica definition. Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to reading more about the UK Cobra scene.

I think the download function may have been disabled, but I’ll check.
You could print it though. 👍🏻

We also have a Facebook page and a website & forum, but the forum is a little quite yet, so if any of you would like to join and contribute, it would be much appreciated.
The Facebook group is doing pretty well, with some terrific content and fantastic period pictures.
