Burn gas and crush bugs! I hate seeing five year old cars with 400 miles on them. When people tell me that the miles I put on the Cobra or GT40 are "reducing the value" I tell them "I can't wait until its' worthless!"

No Sir ... The pleasure of owning a Cobra is as follows but, not necessarily in this order ...
A wish come true ... looking at it, sitting in it and looking at the interior, listening to the sound of the engine and side pipes, and perhaps most of all DRIVING IT! Oh yeh, lets not forget the looks and responses you get when you cruise around .... DRIVE and ENJOY.

Drive the hell out of it! They are meant to be driven. People who see me racing tell me that the cannot believe that I am racing that nice of a car. It is what they were made for. Enjoy it. At least if you sell it you can say that it is well sorted.

I had 55k on 1855 (2004 vintage) by Jan 2012 when it got broke. 4F degrees to 104F degrees, sun, lots of rain, snow, hail, sea level to 14,000 feet. I didn't think I had driven it enough.

No such thing. I say drive em...

19000 in mine since 2014. Only the south Florida metro traffic, heat and rain keep it from being more.

Yea - go for it! I only connected up my Speedo 2 years ago after 20 years of driving so don't know what I've done!!!!! Always felt mileage was meaningless on cars built mainly of second hand mechanical parts. Only connected up a speedo because the GPS driven one gives one performance info.

We have over 6000 miles on our cobra picked it on 9/30/2016. Can’t wait to add a lot more miles and a few more rock chips. We don’t buy it to sit in the garage

Just about the only thing left that's good about CA is the weather, it gets driven year 'round.

I'm in the what are you saving it for camp. I'm heading for 28,000 miles on mine, and it still shines.

Talking

I have a Cobra addiction. I just turned over 150k miles this summer. Got it legal in 2002 with one of the first Sb100 registrations in m town. What a relief that was. The DMV lady didn't know what to do so I got to tell her how to do it. Probably my only pleasant visit to DMV. I feel really sad when I hear of low mileage cars after many many years of just sitting. Cobras became famous because of their performance not how much fun the were to wash and wax.

13 years. 68,000 miles. No tickets or accidents. Now when
it comes to roll back rides, well I plead the 5th!

Driving too much? That's like saying I get too much sex or I drink too much good scotch or my wife is too good a Cook or I'm too good a cook, or I get too much sleep at night.!!!

Default Guess enthusiasts vs got one laying around...

Mine is my toy, my only big toy...no more boats, multiple cars etc. And being way into it it gets used as opposed to guys with one of many who only uses it now and then.

All the cars for sale seem to have rediculously low miles (like mine did when bought) but like someone mentioned are likely not sorted like I think mine is (now it wasn't when bought)...

I wouldn't trade for one out of the box, but for a nice new paint job...

Glad to hear others running up miles too!

Cheers

If the wheels are still on it, it’s not too much.
