I lot of tanks won't fit our LSC cars without modification (tank too tall, hits hood). Be careful buying a tank that would be V-E-R-Y hard to modify (aluminum).
I had to modify mine. I de-soldered my tank, removed all soft solder and modified the elbow to bring the tank lower. I re-soldered my tank with silver solder and viola, no more leaks.

Hey Dave,
Unreal, as the LSC won't alow a turkey pan either. Why is the hood or other, so low that neither will fit ?

Summit, Mr. Gasket, $72.47, with sight glass, P/N MRG 9135, fits LSC at right-hand side of radiator. Requires a flow through style radiator cap. Works for me (although it doesn't say Kirk-Cam on it, so therefore does not cost $1M).

Mine was $520 (all in, probably including some shipping) in 6/2009.
The only thing I didn't like about it was the unfinished CNC surfaces (with the bit swirls; some people like it, I don't, but I don't like naked carbon fiber either). I was going to have a friend polish it up (he restored find metalwork pieces like cash registers and big brass beds and stuff) so had all of the polishing wheels. I just never got around to taking it off to have him do it. I also would have wanted it without the Kirkham logo in it which I understand they will do.

Like everything that Dave makes, even his overflow tank is beautiful, but you sure pay in price. If money was no object, I'd have everything,....they make on my Kirkham.
What a work of art ! (does dave have a dent box or factory 2nd,..to 5th at a low price) lol.
I'll look up the Mr Gasket. Thanks.

Just an all-around poor design.

Hey all, as per my dad about 30 seconds ago the price for one of our billet aluminum overflow tanks right now is $795. We do have several customers of ours polish their tanks but many like the machining lines, as do we. To us, it tells the story of how the part is made. But we understand it is not for everyone.

Chris, $800 for a overflow ?
What you guys create is amazing, but with that said, that's just too much.
Sorry....

Are you asking about Kirkhams expansion tank? Not really an overflow tank.
