Looks an awful lot like an Aston Martin db4 or db3 one of the two.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't know AC had produced a coupe.

@spdbrake, As I have heard it, AC actually built 8 V-8 coupe's. In fact I have ridden in the one here in the PNW. It was "Cobraized" back in the late 63, early 64 (It's still in the same family) . I have pictures of the car, but can't post them, without the permission, of the owner. This one here even had a "Paxton" supercharger installed in the late 60's. Cheers Tom.

If Wikipedia is correct, the AC Aceca debuted in 1954, the Aston Martin DB3 Mk III, 1957. So, if there was any copying going on, it was by Aston Martin.

That may be the one Lynn Parks built as a teenager with Shelby parts to make a "Dragon Snake" recreation.

There were a number of fastbacks like that around the same time....Bently Continental, which I believe was inspired by the model 61 cadillac fastback from about 1946 or 7 or 8. Once you are committed to a full fastback they look pretty similar, depending for differentiation on the rear window treatment.j

@CSX 4133, Steven that a exc. question. I will try to reach Bill this winter, and see if I can get the whole story, also ask to be allowed to post the pictures. I do know (Patrick) the father, knew Shelby, Miles, Brock, etc. back in the day. In fact in this family collection, they have Ken Miles "Flying Shingle" as I've sat in and started up that car. One day Steven, I 'll tell you the story of buying a 72 BMW 2002TII, from Patrick, the car wasn't ready yet, so he lent me a Ferrari of his for 2days, after I found out what I would be driving (Not a run of the mill Ferrari) I almost had a heart attack Cheers Tom.

My education was lacking. I'd never heard about the "flying shingle" so, of course, I googled it. Wowzer. And, so long ago.

I suspect that you mean the original Lotus Elite, although I don't see much similarity.

Google "AC Greyhound" and you'll find a 2+2 coupe. Also a grill that looks quite similar to a Cobra!

The small block Cobra (and last series Ace) grille is a Greyhound unit turned upside down.
