Well, I guess painting might be pretty competitive.

Maybe at Earl Scheib. After I got mine which was British Racing Green in inquired about a repaint on it to Guardsman blue. I was quoted 12-15K for an on-body repaint, 20K+ to disassemble. I've heard similar numbers for those who have had Kirkham's done because of the cost of the prep on the aluminum.

I have to agree with twobjshelbys. I spent a year looking for just the right shop to paint my car. Even though the PNW have some great shops. The car had never been painted, so just gel-coat. Found a shop I trusted to do the job (They did a great job) By the time I wrote the check, put it this way, it was between 15-20K. Now we didn't cut any corner's, but I doubt still that would have saved maybe a couple thousand.
