Love everything about this special Cobra, all mods were done for the right reason's in period correct. If I could afford it, I would leave it just as is. I believe it started life in red? (when it fell off the carrier, I believe the owner's son said), but love the green. I'm a little bias to BRG . And a beautiful Lotus 11 next to it to boot, I'm sure this was a neat Cars & Coffee, to attend. Cheers Tom.

Began as a black car with red interior.

Thank you, A-snake. Very interesting since that is what their replacement car is, I had the colors reversed. I have pictures of the replacement Cobra, in the shop next to mine, I wonder if I'm allowed to post them without the owner's permission? No photo's of lic. plate, or any telling cues.

I note the BFG Radial T/A tires - the cause of much derision in other CC threads...

A-Snake,
Would you happen to have a better photo of the red airplane? Tail numbers?

Indeed it is, A-snake. One of the family is missing in this photo. Before I knew he owned the Cobra in the shop, I met his beautiful wife, and his "great Big dog". Anyone that's a dog lover is ace's in my book. Thank you for the great photo, Cheers Tom.

This photo was taken at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona a couple of weeks ago. The competing show cars were inside the buildings, outside you get kind of an eclectic mix. There was another 289 inside that I thought was pretty interesting too. I don't have the details, sure somebody here will, but it had Daytona style exhaust pipes (tucked into the body, held with springs). Anybody?
Few more 289 pics:
