Default Am I THE ONLY ONE

I crawled under the car today just to check on things found my fuel line from the tank to my hard line was cracked. So I replaced the line with injector hose
and a new fuel filter the man behind the napa counter recommended it. After completing the repair, I noticed one of my shocks was blown out.I only have 4k miles on the car. I was wondering does a car that sits for a while become prone to these kind of issues or I am the only one?

Sitting is hard on things. You gotta drive it more!

Hauss,

Tom is correct and that is why even when I can't drive my cars I move them from time to time. Not only is it hard on the suspension to set for long periods without being moved but the fluids in the rear end and transmission need to be warmed up as well as the oil.

Ron

Moving or idle, Cobras are a tinkerer's dream. Or Nightmare, depending on which side of the fence you sit.

There's always something to fix, but I've found that a well-sorted used car with more than a few hundred miles can provide a much higher enjoyment to repair ratio.

Well I took your advice and took the car for a drive. Now I have a oil leak on the remote oil filter on the block. Is this what you call sorting it out?

No, oil leaks are a constant state of existence.

If I know that I will not drive the car for a while (winter storage) I place it under jacks to get the tires off the ground and once a week I go to the garage to turn the crank with a toque wrench. I have been doing this going on four years with no problems...

But once you get the weight on the jacks how do you get the cobra out from under them?
