What next

I was taking my nephew"s wife for a little drive in my car. They are visiting from texas and I had just got done replacing My clutch slave cylinder,so I was looking for any reason, to take my car out.She was very excited and thrilled with the idea, of going for a drive in a cobra. While on the drive, I had come to a stop and noticed my car would not down shift. The car was stuck in 5th gear. I rode the clutch and limped home, very disappointed and embarrassed . I quickly removed the tko 600 5 speed and discovered my 5th gear and reverse rail was broken in half.

The car only has 4000 miles on it. I do not have a receipt for the trany, should the parts be under warranty and has anyone else had this problem?
