Default A visit to the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, CO

Last weekend I visited the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, CO. All I can say about it is if you're a car guy and in the area you should stop in, but if you're a Cobra or GT40 person, you should absolutely make this a must visit destination, even if you have to go out of your way to get there.

I found $70 round trip tickets from Frontier that landed in Denver Saturday morning and flew back out on Saturday night. Seeing the wife and I have spent more than that on a night out, it was a pretty easy decision to burn a Saturday at the Shelby American Collection, and it was well worth it.

I made a video tour of my visit. If you have 25 minutes to kill you may as well watch it. The video is not a substitute for visiting the collection though, it'll just give you a feel for it.

PS, if you do like it, feel free to share it with other Shelby fans.

I used to live about 10 miles away and visited the museum 3 or 4 times a year.

Come to the annual party! Always lots of the old Shelby American crew and they usually light up one of the GT40s just to remind us what straight pipes sound like (hint, if it's one of the cars inside, you literally can't hear anything).

Support the museum by taking a chance on winning the GT350.

Awesome museum! I live about 20 mins away and overdue for another visit. So much to taken in there, that it is worth a few visits if you can swing it.

If I can find cheap enough airfare I'm going to try to make it to the show in August. I entered into the raffle while I was there. I'd love to get that GT350 out on the track.

Thanks for the kind words. I really like the video but I almost just feel like I like it so much because I made it. I think Steve was able to talk about a lot of good history in the video though. I'll keep the fast motion in the beginning in mind for future videos.
