Default Tarnish, Discolored Chrome Side Pipes

I have been doing motorcycles since the late '60s and never found a product or home remedy to remove discoloration from header pipes.

Do any Cobra owners know of any secrets or products that will get the silver back into Cobra side pipes where they exit from the fender?

Thank you,
Nathan

Why? That natural "patina" looks awesome! Leave it just the way it is.

I don't have stainless pipes on my car, but a while back I bought a Motus (motorcycle) which has stainless pipes. They were water-stained and a couple of other owners recommended a polish called Autosol. It made a huge improvement, particularly after I quit using elbow grease and enlisted the help of an electric buffer.

Default Never dull

I used this, Never Dull, on my motorcycle pipes for years with great results...That being said, I tried it on my Cobra's side pipes and was not as pleased...it worked "some" but not 100% I think the discoloration goes too deep. It worked toward the end of the pipes better than close to the headers.

These are two of the pipes on my Motus, before and after Autosol. The water spots were significantly reduced and the discoloration came out, as well.

Compound 302 will easily remove the stains / discoloration, then hit it with the Mothers Mag polish to restore the shine.
Works great, I've done my Polished SS multiple times.
