Default 460 or any big block exhaust - question

Question for those with sidepipes with a big block Ford. Do you have any baffles or is it just straight?
I currently have a 460 with stock exhaust manifolds, resonators and an undercar exhaust the ends in front of the rear axle. It's pretty quiet.
I'm going to add headers and turn the exhaust out to an oval tip in front of each rear wheel. Just wondering if I should lose the resonators. I'm okay with loud on this thing. But how loud LoL Im also going to try and get a crossover pipe under there to balance the side to side exhaust note a bit.

My personal opinion is anyone running open exhaust on the street is irresponsible. I have no objection to an exhaust in keeping with the character of the car, but that can be done without running open exhaust.

Moving from stock exhaust manifolds to headers will increase the exhaust note, as will moving to side exit from rear exit. Are your current mufflers / resonators rear-mounted and, if so, how much room do you have under the car for mufflers if you're running a side exit? I've heard some folks have had success running Spintech mufflers. They have a line of low profile mufflers that may work where others don't. https://spintechmufflers.com/mufflers/

Mine is loud, funny car get a ticket loud. I really like it but it is too much for daily driving. I use the auger inserts to tone it down. 1 per pipe is about right, 2 per pipe is half of the open level.

I'm running Patriot augers inside 3 1/2" side pipes. I bent the auger flanges so they were a tight fit into the side pipes, then used a mandrel and a 5 lb hand sledge on the centre pipe to hammer them in. I previously had them installed when they weren't that tight, and the buzzing and rattling at different engine speeds drove me crazy.
