Default Mystery car is a Hunter!

First, thanks to Alfa02 and em0785 for helping me identify my recent purchase of a Hunter Cobra. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into figuring out this mystery car.

So, now I'm looking for assembly manuals... does anyone know where I can find a copy?

Thanks!
KT

oh, and if someone has a bit more info/history on Hunter kits, that would be helpful too. The front and rear end are vette, but it's got a 390FE under the hood.

You are very welcome Ken. We were happy to help. Yes guy's Ken needs help from our Hunter owners, a manual would be just great or a copy of one. Your car is in very nice shape, just a little work, and you're be up and driving her. Again if you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out to any of us. Cheers Tom.

KT,

Congrats on your purchase. Looks like a fun car to learn and figure out and tame over time. Best of luck with it! Brent

KT can u give me a link to your initial post?

I’m looking at one that is an Integrity 427 Cobra which I’m told is Hunter though can’t find much about them. I’d be interested in an owner’s manual as well as pictures of your Cobra.

GPM, I looked on line for images of Integrity 427 Cobras. The body features as well as the interior look very similar to my Cobra. Engine bay is a little different, but close. Tom/Alfa02 called me this morning and told me that he heard these 2 companies were connect in some way (shared body and parts...), but both used corvette suspensions. I'm going to reach out directly to some Hunter owners to try and learn more. stay tuned.- KT

GPM,

I saw you on the other thread (Hunter Cobra?)... so you may have seen this from mr bruce:
--------------------------
here's how I got the story ,so who knows if it's rite, Integrity sold about 50 cars, they also were in the Cobra parts bizz, they also were working on a GT 40 replica, the Cobra car stuff was sold off to form Hunter,( or maybe someone in between) the parts end of the company became Finishline Accessorys , or part of. Don't kill the messenger , it's just how I got the story, b
----------------------------

This is helpful. Thanks Mr B!

KT

Thanks for information on the Hunter and your Cobra looks great. Love the Halibrand rims. I see a lot of similarities in your Cobra and the one I was looking at though this one has a Jag IRS.

Anyway I said “was looking at” as I made an offer and dealer has not gotten back to me. I’m not chasing him. Too many fish in this sea...

Randy Hunter built 81 Hunter cobras before he sold. I was #80. Had the car for 12 years and it has been amazing. Still looks and drives like new. Good luck

Thanks Wind1. Did he build all these cars using Corvette or Jag chassis? Did he put a name-plate or any other mfgr identifier on the car? Can I assume since he built them, there are no assembly manuals available? - KT

Randy built mine as a turn-key, so I do not have an assembly manual. He used all Vette suspension on his frame. Very stout chassis. He placed a serial number on top of the frame on the drivers side above drivers shock. Starts with "HTR", then a few numbers.
