Default Csx 2...

Hi all, i am currently looking for a CSX 2... car with race history from the 60's. Would anyone know how i can get SCCA entry lists from that time?

maybe join SAAC, and then get in touch with someone there?

Maybe contact Lynn Park ? Mr. Cobra . Maybe he can broker a deal for you.

Purchase the registry. They come up for sale quite often on eBay or you can one new from SAAC.

The Cobra Experience now does an online version of the Registry, link below. I would suggest you contact Emily there and ask her if that type of info is maintained in the electronic version.

Interesting, Bill. I don’t subscribe to the online version and my most recent print copy is at least one edition out of date. Curious about the differences between electronic and print—is the electronic not complete, or not up to date, or what?

You will find the online version, not quite affiliated with SAAC or it's registrars
The saacforum.com is a great place for information on the original. No pay to play, no alternate reality like others (not saying this about the one above), just cold hard facts that some may not want to hear

Would anyone know if CSX 2407 raced in 1964 and 1965?

The registry makes note of the car being raced in 1965 in A/Production class. No mention of the 1964 season.
BTW, it says the car was modified to cut-back doors like the team cars had but that was done in the 80's.

2407 was invoice to the seller dealer in September of '64 so there would be little time left to race it that year.

True as it went from SA to the buyer who then modified it for competition use. So no time during 1964 for racing.

the fourth owner Dr. Linton Weed purchased 2201 in 1/65 and raced 2201 during 65-66 in West Coast SCCA events...

It does as he was the original buyer. A partner in NART.

As far as 2201 goes, no competition use in 1964. The car was invoiced to a dealer in Scottsdale, AZ for a buyer who ended up not purchasing the car. That was May 1964. In September 1964, it was invoiced a dealer in Hayward CA, then purchased by Autosports Northwest in Oregon, then sold to Dr Weed (OR) in January 1965. He modified it for competition use. So again, not setup for racing in 1964.
CSX2201 is a significant car in Cobra production. It was the first production car to have a Ford alternator, Ford wiring, Stewart Warner gauges and Ford clock. Big changes from previous production cars!
