Have you seen pictures of the chassis yet?
Offset trunklid latch would not be a trait of a Contemporary

Interesting... it is hard to tell, but the body somehow doesn't look like Contemporary. Didn't Shell Valley or one of the others have a torsion suspension option at one time, many years ago?

No Smith gauges either.
Did Contemporary supply the original defroster vent deflectors? Those ain't them.

map,

The early Everett Morrison cars had a 100% Jag suspension option.

Does the car have a 4" round tube chassis?

Photos from beneath and inside the hood and trunk might help.

Power Performance is/was located in Iowa, too. Maybe it's one of their early cars.

Tom

The body certainly looks like an early Contemporary - prior to the infamous "alterations". The other irregular details could be the result of a budget build from a very basic kit. We won't know for sure without pics of the chassis. etc.
EDIT: Even the license plate light is off-center in relation to the stripes! Looks like somebody didn't read the instructions before using his new measuring tape!
