Sure Patrick. Come on up here, sit in your car, I will point a nozzle in your your direction and we can see if it works  They do sell refill kits so we could order a couple of them and see how well they work as well.... 
Not only will it put a fire out, but the foam should work as an insulator to keep you warm on the ride back home.
