8 stack efi question
Hi all. As I'm finishing up my 8 stack efi bench build, I have a question:
Where do you hook up the PCV valve/hose connection from the valve cover?
The PCV hose used to go into my carb manifold, but the 8 stack doesn't have a "manifold".
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers
Greg

Put breather(s) in the valve cover(s).

Greg,
There's a thread here about that: PCV valve with Webers?
and there may be others.

Greg,
Just saw a dyno run with 8 stacks, and the air filters robbed the engine of a lot of Horsepower. Look at Mike's set up below your post, less restrictive. You'll notice a difference when you get it hooked up.

My EightStack manifold has a vacuum port on the back of the manifold. I have the PCV valve located in the manifold at the rear in the draft tube boss and breathers installed in each valve cover.

Thanks for the input guys.
My 8 stack efi setup does not have a manifold per se. It has 8 individual intake runners (manifolds) and a valley cover over the lifter valley.
Each of the 8 intake runners have a “vacuum port” and I have “daisy chained” the 4 on each side joining in the middle.
I have fabricated a vacuum reservoir in the center of the valley cover which also acts as the pedestal for the throttle cable actuators for each bank of throttle bodies. (see pics)
The daisy 8 chained intake runner vacuum lines go into this vacuum reservoir, and I have attached the distributor vacuum (if needed) and will attach the PCV line (which I asked about earlier in this post) to the vacuum reservoir also.
Also attached to the vacuum reservoir is the IAC valve (Idle Air Control valve (see pics).
So I think I have the questioned answered.
Thanks guys.
Cheers
Greg
Pics too big to do more than one at a time. so more pics to follow in the next post.

Thanks Blacklemming.
Another one of my "build it to see if I can" projects.
A little machining here and there, integrate a few more parts then start figuring out all the electrical connections for the FAST EFI computer.
Also have to do some figuring as to the inline fuel pump (exterior to the tank) and filter setup.
Another pic with the fuel rails in place.
Cheers

Another pic showing how the throttle bodies/manifold runners are canted inward kinda like the 10 deg canted Webbers on the comp 427 Cobras.
Cheers
