Default PCV valve with Webers?

Can you hook up a pcv valve with weber carbs?

I have a pair of cast aluminum valve covers I'm going to polish and plan on running webers. One side has a hole for a breather tube and the other has a hole for a pcv grommet. If a pcv valve can't be used with a weber set up, then I'll bore out hole for the pcv grommet and add another breather tube.

I run a K&N breather on each valvecover and a old style breather tube on the rear of my intake. It has worked well for me.

You can, but it will be a pain.

Drill and tap each and every intake runner. Connect all of these to a common plenum with 1/4" (or so) stainless hardline, connect that to PCV valve. Some people will mistake the hardlines to each runner for nitrous.

I would just run a breather on both sides.

been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

It really wasn't that bad, but I'm pretty used to bending tubing!

Because the entire system is hidden under the intake manifold and not seen. The compression fittings are much easier and faster to work with because no flaring is necessary.
If it was on top of the intake, it would be all pretty stainless line and nickel plated tube and nut.

The manifold is Blue Thunder and the delivery system is TWM electronic fuel injection.

Default off the thread, but, heat soak?

FD,

This is off the thread of the PCV, but woh does the system handle heat?

(Very nice workmanship.)

Is there any problem with vapor lock on a hot day?

I do not know how high the boiling point is raised with 30 to 40 lbs of fuel pressure, but it seems like there would be a problem restarting on a hot day, hot engine.

Pete

Hi Pete,
The lines under the intake are vacuum only, no fuel runs through them. EFI uses 42 psi and had a return line system so that the fuel is never on the engine long enough to get too hot.
HTH,
Mike
