But unfortunately with fewer every time. 1/2 then 1/2 that then 1/2 that and it approaches zero... I've seen the falloff in just the past decade. There was a big resurgence in the mid 2007(?) when the modern GT500 came out. But that leveled off as the years went by. Now noone even talks about it (do they still make it???)

Well, at least we'll get another bump in historic interest
as producer/director Michael Mann got his pet project
"Enzo Ferrari" greenlit for production.

Mann has been behind some of the best features ever
to hit cinema. "HEAT", "Last of the Mohicans",
"Miami Vice", "Collateral" and has producer credit for
"Ford v Ferrari".

Hugh Jackman will star as Enzo.

The kids face says it all Kinda like we have every time we take out our Cobras. Also, I can relate, some of you may know: In 1963 (8yo) I was granted a ride with Mr. Ken Miles in CSX2129 @ Pacific Raceways, we did a few 'Hot Laps' that is still fresh in my memory and is what got me here today. Thank you, Tony, for posting this.

Awesome, have had a lot of cars, nothing attracts people at a car show like a cobra and especially kids, I think and not a criticism they look like cartoon car, every show i go to kids love it i say want to get in a get a picture? probably have had 100s of kids and adults get pictures and if they want to go for a ride no problem. Share it its just a car and makes people happy

Very great article. Hoping maybe someone in the area that is in the process of building or a shop that build's replicas reaches out to the school or teacher. The experience of a little hands on he would never forget. I know if I was in the area I certainly would try. Maybe a local Cobra group can make something happen. Make sure to get some photos or video's. Want that kid to keep smiling.

Cool story. This kind of event helps to engender interest in the glory days of Shelby and auto racing. With EVs inevitably going to replace ICEs, we need to ensure history isn't completely lost.

Thanks for sharing.
