cobra exhaust pic
Hi,
I got my 302 block hugger headers ceramic coated satin black. Hooked up 2 1/2" pipes turned down at gas tank. No more burned legs

I'd put some insulation around that starter.

Looks like you`ll have to drop the exhaust on that side if you ever need to change out the starter.

You should be able to clock that starter and move the solenoid, no problem.

Not sure that even aluminum foil would fit around that baby... that is tight-tight!

Nice, show us the rest of the system. Where are your mufflers, where are your exits?

exhaust
The pipes go under the rear end and turndown 3" in front of gas tank.

How about a mini starter. I don’t think any kind of insulation is going to save that end of the end of that starter.

Mini starter
It is a Powermaster PowerMAX mini Starter and has lots more clearance than a stock starter. after 53 year of driving I have only ever replaced 1 starter, none in my cobras. If you read the tittle it was to show my undercar exhaust instead of the burned leg noisy side exhaust, real mufflers sound like a muscle car.
