How Not to drive a Cobra
I found this video last night and sent it to Bill S. (Mr. Mustang) we lost count after just 2minutes in his run by dangerous (Mistake after mistake) driving, thank goodness it's a Hillclimb, and he's not wheel to wheel.
Some of these mistakes are scary even if at Street speed let alone, race speed.
This is a perfect example of money does not = Talent.
I hope a friend or two takes this gentleman aside, helps him with being a safe & fast driver, most people can learn to get 85-90% out of a car with the right teaching.
I emailed Alf, remember him, from this site, and asked if that was his blue FIA right before this car, if he answers back, I let you all know.
I hope this helps even one person it will be worth it. Cheers TommyRot.

I believe Bill S. and I can point out most of them.
1- No matching of revs in down shifts, that is the quickest way to lock the rear-end up going in a corner, throwing the whole car off balance, Look up "Heel and Toe", Matching Revs.
2- Hands all over the steering wheel, and letting the wheel sild though your hands as it unwinds (Huge NO), that Cobra Driver should have his hands around9-10 and 2-3 on the wheel, He should never have taken them off the wheel only to shift, then back on, As Bill S. pointed out, he LOOKED down at the shifter while 5-feet away from the edge of the road (At SPEED)
3-the car is never pointed at an apex, it almost like he's driving as an Afterthought, if he's learning the course (I give him that) he was still driving too fast retain any useable info.
There is more to it, but for a start I'll leave it at this stage. If anyone is wondering I have approx. 45+years under my belt in Auto-X, Pro-Rallye, and Road Racing.
Please anyone else chime in, learning from other people's mistake is fine, it saves our Cars, Cheers TommyRot.

Remember in class, smooth seems slow, yet smooth is fast.
As a retired 30+ year racer (road race, some autocross), and sometimes right seat instructor, I'll post the following as if I was in the car with the "student" doing an after session decompress with the lead instructor (short description):
The driver was all over, very little to almost no self awareness or control. Easily distracted, hand eye coordination was lagging, lack of situational awareness of the course layout. I review the video, the less likely I would have allowed this driver on a road course without further experience and/or hands on instruction in a controlled environment.
Bill S.
