I haven't tried out some of the sunglasses mentioned in here, but Oakley gets my vote. I wear straight jackets with the emerald lenses. Once the car is done, I'm gonna get a pair with black frames and the red lenses they make.

Doug the serengeti are fine glasses I have used my for years.
If you would like more protection try the wraparound design
action optics have a very fine line with glass lens in photochromic
or constant density.

Hey Guys:
I've purchased a few pair from Elton Optics (www.eltonoptics.com) and been very happy. They supply polarized prescription glasses at a good price.

Default Thanks!

Very helpful, gents. I've got the leads I need.

And, have a safe (you listening, Hal, you of the great sweepers...) and happy Holiday. It's a White Christmas here, so it will be next week before I can get rubber on the road again. Meanwhile, it's family, a bit of work, and ClubCobra.
best,

I'VE USED SERENGETI DRIVERS FOR ABOUT 18 YEARS. THEY ARE GREAT FOR DRIVING AND FOR FLYING.

AMBER WITH ABOUT 30 % MORE DENSITY AT THE TOP 15 % OF THE GLASS AND A VERY SMOOTH GRADIENT DENSITY. EXCELLENT "BLUE BLOCKING" AND MUCH BETTER VISABILITY IN HAZE OR LIGHT FOG.

DARN NEAR INDESTRUCTABLE ALSO. I CAUGHT A FLYING STONE WHILE DRIVING MY AUSTIN-HEALEY WITH THE WINDSCREEN DOWN. IT BOUNCED OFF THE LENSE BEFORE HITTING MY FOREHEAD. NOT A SCRATCH OR CHIP ON THE LENSE BUT I STILL HAVE A SMALL SCAR ON MY FOREHEAD.

I'VE NEVER HAD A PAIR OF GLASSES THAT I LIKED AS WELL.

OF COURSE - - THEY DON'T LOOK AS "COOL" AS TURKS.

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK
