Cranky,
If it were mine, the track would be the first place it would go. My dad has talked about taking it to IRP to run the 1320. I mentioned open track days, but mom wasn't really thrilled. One thing I can assure you is that it won't be in a show.

I Like It!!! Always had a place in my heart for metallic burgundy( or what color it may be!) Are you getting it striped! Edley

John & Ike -
The car is abolutely beautiful. So glad Bill will not give in to red or yellow plug wires-simply would not match. Since Bill is not into "on line talk", let's not tell him that the car doesn't have a stripe - which he feels is much worse than a "red distributor cap"!!! Just ask your photographer. Call us when you are ready to install the engine - we are here to help. Susan

Hey susan,
Sorry I didn't call you after we got the motor. It, the motor, is just as gorgeous as the car. You guys certainly did a fine job. We just can't wait to hear it. I sent you an email a while ago, but I don't think it got through, so I will send it again. Thank you once again.
Edley,
The color is Porsche's arena red metallic. A neighbor has it on her Boxster and my dad had to have it. I think it turned out okay . We also decided to go without a stripe.
ps. I never though this day would come, but it is time to get rid of the Eeeeeeevvvvveeeeeennnnnnnnnttttuuaally in my profie. .

Ikestaa, maybe stripes on the motor would be a good compromise?? Again, a man of good taste--even though the car has no stripes.
You answered my next question already. Take a peak at my gallery. I own an Arena Red Porsche. I actually went to see Bill in it last Friday (it has no stripes either). I parked it around back as it was a non-Ford product.
You are going to be ABSOLUTELY surprised by the compliments you get from this color--I know I was. If you gave me 10 different Porsche colors to choose from, I would have ranked this one about 5. That said, I get MORE compliments on the color from EVERYONE than any other car I own. Late afternoon, broken cloud cover make people drool over the paint. I have no idea why, and I do not have the same affliction, I just want you to know what you may find. Especially on something as curvacious as a Cobra. Silver stripes would look nice with that by thw way .

Ikesta,
Congratulations. Great looking car. I'm just a month or so ahead of you with my ERA. So far, I have the rearend installed, the trunk carpet done, the wiring done and a few of the other miscellaneous things installed. Things have gone quite smoothly but I've learned a few things along the way. If you're interested in some pointers based on my experiences, let me know and I'll fill you in on a couple of things that might save you a little bit of time.
Chris

Put the silver stripes on the UNDERSIDE of the hood!!! Or a cobra snake would look real sharp, and you wouldnt have to show anyone unless you wanted to! Edley

Ikestaa,
I saw it as well on my visit to heaven over the Holidays. The picture does not do it justice. My wife was with me - it was like a magnet for her. She is still asking me what that color was. Enjoy!!! Just beautiful...
