Shelby FIA build photos
Shelby just put up a photo slide show on their website detailing the buildup of CSX7013. If you look at the early photos, you can see ol' Specialk's handy work Maybe I should change it to "Grandmaster K"

Great pics! Beautiful Cobra! This sure changes my perception that SAI just adds badges to a Kirkham.
What is the history behind the stripe pattern? I haven't seen it before.

SFCJ...
...you obviously are not old enough to remember the boxtop of the Revell 289 Cobra 1/32 slot car body. Same scheme. Don't know if this was run on an actual car but seeing Kris on the tour today and this paint version brought back many pleasent memories!
Rick
Wait, I didn't mean that Kris brought back memories...I have never met him! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. An interesting side note, 7013 is the FIA that spanked an AWD 911 twin turbo Posche one weekend at the track.
southernfriedcj ,
The color was supposed to be the GT40 Gulf color, and I think the 1970 Boss 302 stangs sorta inspired the stripe layout.

Specialk,
Do you have specifics on that blue? That is the color I am wanting to paint mine but with a different stripe scheme & color. Is there a color name or numer? Or did you have to match it to something?
BTW= Awsome car & build photos! Thanks

I will find out specifics on the blue.
Doing a 427 slide presentation would be great. I will see what I can do!
