Vote! Do you want DV and I to lead the Cobra charter group?
As we are moving along with this, DV and I are ready to file for the charter to form the organization.
However, we fully agree that this is to be a group created by all of US, run by all of US and with rules made by all of US. It was recently pointed out that it kind of seemed that we are saying that we are doing it no matter what anyone thinks and they shouldn't say anything if they don't agree. We certainly do not want ANYONE to feel that way. This group is meant to be for everyone and everyone has a fair say in what goes on. All opinions are strongly encouraged and welcome. This is NOT, NOT, NOT a dictatorship. Please don't let anything make you feel like it is. We're just very passionate about it and believe that it will work.
I'll make this as simple as I can. ALL THOUGHTS, COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, CONCERNS, COMPLAINTS OR GENERAL DISCUSSIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. PLEASE GIVE US YOUR THOUGHTS AS YOU HAVE BEEN. "WE" AS A COLLECTIVE GROUP WILL DECIDE THE PATH OF THIS GROUP. "WE" WILL SET THE RULES, GOALS AND STRUCTURE OF THE GROUP. NOBODY WILL EVER BE TOLD TO KEEP THEIR MOUTH SHUT OR IGNORED. FROM THE NEWEST MEMBER TO THE MOST SENIOR OWNER, THIS GROUP IS FOR ALL OF US.
That said, DV and I want to ask everyone if they would like us to be the spearheads, or "mouthpieces" of the organization. Again, it doesn't mean we are judge, jury and excecutioner. Far from it. We will want and beg for everyones' input. I can't stress that strongly enough. Also, don't ever forget, that this is 100% voluntary. If you don't want to join, don't give it a second thought. We welcome everyone who wants to be a part of it.
Please vote if you would like DV and I, or if there is someone else you think should be at the point instead, please let us know.
Steve

I think that you and DV are the logical choices to head this up. Not that no one else has the knowledge or expertise, but DV is exceptionally knowledgeable about all brands of the cars and you have a great deal of insite and knowledge into the insurance side of the problem. We also have lawyers in the club that coulod be of great help to you both with any legal questions.

Go for it!!!!
My Cobra is several months away from delivery, but I know we will all have to approach this problem as a group to be effective.

I'm trying to come up with some good reasons for not going ahead and organizing but I can't think of any..
As far as Ed and Steve taking on this task, I certainly don't have any objections with them heading it up... Apparently, Ed doesn't sleep anyway so it's a no-brainer...

could there be two better guys for this?
Let's see, insurance, mechanical and build expertise...nope. We couldn't invent two more qualified people! I am not totally sure where you're going with this organization, but it sounds promising. I am willing to help you get rolling. Wait, we need a lawyer---I know a young man from Fresno..........h-m-m-m-m-m-m.
