Csx 4000 Body Shell On Ebay
I am doing a little spring cleaning and need to sell this body.
Reasonable offers will be entertained. Any interested can bid on Ebay. Someone could always make an "Original" couch out of it. Evan???? Are you listeneing???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2406514263 |
Steve,
I'm curious as to how much work was involved when you switched over from the fiberglass body, to an aluminum body? I'm looking into swapping out the body at somepoint, and was wondering if you ran into any difficulties with the new shell you put on? Thanks.........Bill |
..I'm sure Steve will elaborate, but the shell for sale was a spare.
CSX4027 was and still is a 'glas car. |
Got outbid already...Sheesh.........Oh well, thought it would make one lovely planter in the backyard :D :D :D .........
Bill S. |
Thanks Ron.....
I just assumed that Steve had switched over to an aluminum body, as I knew Steve spent alot of time to make it look like an original comp car. - Bill - |
Body
The body on 4027 was glass. The body on Ebay is an extra.
|
Steve, have you got any pictures you could e-mail me?
Does it have a steel frame/birdcage glassed to the body? Thanks Nick |
Mickmate
The body does not come with any type of frame. It is a replacement fiberglass shell only. It was designed to attach to an original style frame. I do not have any photo's until the end of the week. The body is in my trailer at a friends business. I can't get it out for a photo. The snow has mounds still back where it is parked that should go away by the weekend. If you would like to see CSX 4027 that had the same exact body on it. Go and click around on my website at www.competitionlife.com

Kris
Thanks for the photo.
If I don't sell it I was thinking about making a Bronco chassis 4WD 289 powered Cobra. What do you think? |
Shipping
Steve,
Do you have any idea how shipping can be handled, about how much was it to ship from Shelby? John |
4X4 Cobra eh? Do you think you could fit 35's on a set of Trigo's? :D
|
Shipping
It arrived from Las Vegas upside down and strapped to another 4000 car that was being sent to HRE Freeport for assembly. I am not sure of the cost. It can be shipped flat on the floor. I have not figured that out but I don't believe it will pose a problem. I am friendly with Intercity Lines. I can get a qoute. Let me know where you are located.

Kris
I heard that American Racing is making some really large Torque Thrust II's. That could work..

shipping
Hi Steve,
I have a trailer that I could put the body on, and I could pick it up wherever they have a hub for convenience. So Salt Lake City, Utah; Boise,ID; Twin Falls,ID;or Pocatello,ID would work for me. John |
Shipping
I will call and check tomorrow.
Didin't I hear you were thinking of moving to NJ??? Boy...Shipping would be a lot cheaper and you can have my free consulting on building the car %/ |
Moving?
You've got to be Kidding! I live about 3 1/2 hours from Kirkham's and a day driving from Shelby's, so that's pretty close to heaven.
John |
Moving
Only Kidding.
I would actually love to move west but my whole life is back here. I lived in California for about a year back in the early 80's but that was a different life ago. "I keep trying to get out but..... they pulling keep pulling me back in" |
Kris, thanks for the piccy. Steve is the picture as yours with cut outs et al?
Cheers Nick |
Body
