LAWYERS? I DON'T NEED NO STINKING .....

A while back, a friend of mine was ripped off to the tune of $20,000 by a large national corporation. They had attorneys on staff and a reputation of fully contesting every lawsuit. You know how it goes.
"You can sue us, but we have our own lawyers. You'll spend more than $20K on legal fees."
I took my friend to the book store and made him buy the Nolo Press book on how to sue in Superior Court. It cost about twenty dollars. How to you spell "in pro per"? The lawyers kept trying to get my friend to hire council.
The corporation caved at the deposition (for more than $20,000). It was fun. I guess those guys were billing internally!  |
