Question Orange Cobra's

Does anyone have an orange cobra, or picture of an orange cobra?

I have been thinking about colors for my cobra. I can do a lot of thinking at the moment and not much building. Anyway, I started to recall colors and have thought of black (all my cars except the first have been black), blue (all the different shades) and red (again all shades.

I then remembered the color of my first bicycle. It was a funny orange color. I liked it and never painted it a different color when I converted it to BMX racing a way way long time ago.

My thought would be Orange with black pipes and rollbar. Not sure about the stripes but would have to think that they would be black as well.

Thanks
Jamie (this color orange is good, maybe a bit lighter)

That is the color of my little Schwinn bike for yesteryear.

I need to find one that has black trim with it. Unless I do a street version. hhmmmmm that would be a lot of orange.

Thanks Ron.

Jamie, do a trace CC on Shelby Bankston. He has a B&B with orange pearl with white pearl stripes.

Shell Valley uses a Orange with White stripe Cobra in their ads. Check out page 2 of the May, 2003 issue of Kit Car magazine.

A black stripe will be okay but black pipes will cut the car up due to the overpowering of the orange. Keep your pipes and wheels the color above.

After all these years, now we have a second customer looking at orange.

This car is currently in the shop.

The picture doesn't adequately convey the vibrancy of the color.

An acquired taste, I guess.

I tried to post a couple of pics of our '02 show car but I'm struggling this morning. It is Sunset pearl orange with snow white pearl stripes. Both colors are from House of Colors "Shimmering Pearls" series. Feel free to e-mail me and I'll e-mail pictures.

I have never walked the same line as everyone else when it came to my cars and motorcycles. Always wanted something different. I too, had already decided that if I ever get the chance to build my dream cobra, that it would be orange and white, and with chrome side pipes and rollbar. 1969 Z-28 orange with white stripe might look good on the cobra!

Nothing wrong with blue or red or.....just like being different....

Jamie, Go for it! Orange is a great color and if you have been to any street rod shows in the last year you will know that a bunch of fresh rods are orange. That is the new hot color and they look fantastic. Personally, I would do a orange with white or pearl white stripes. Jake

I can't imagine a more obnoxious color for a car...Especially a Cobra...Orange is for Road Runners, not Cobras...

Default Yet Another Orange Cobra

Hi All, Just finished my Orange Cobra. He is House of Kolors Ultra Orange Pearl with Silver Metalic Pearl strips. He lives in Annapolis Maryland. The matching APE hardtop changes the look to a semi-Cheetah.

Looks fast stanfing still.

Regards,

Bob Root
