Coast High Performance
>There's been a lot of discussion amongst Cobra owners about Coast High Performance. I'll add my two cents from some recent experience.
Rather than going into all the details, let me just say that I had a problem with Coast denying my warranty claim.
After their denial and after my broken motor had been sitting in their shop for a month, I unexpectedly got a call from Mark O'Neill one of the two partners in Coast. He said he was calling to apologize for their screwing me around and wanted to make everything right.
After that call, they built me a new motor with a new block to my specs. and charged me a very nominal $550 for upgrading the crank and connecting rods. They also included a new Canton roadrace pan since the old pan was damaged by their connecting rod. And to top it off, they are providing a new warranty.
I really couldn't ask for more.
Naturally, I regret the extended downtime and the hassles, but, the bottom line is they eventually came through with flying colors.
Based on my conversation with Mark O'Neill, it seems to me that Coast is trying to do the right thing for its customers. Sometimes, in a fast growing, large organization (for this type of business) with a lot of staff turnover, s--t happens. And it did happen in this case.
But, all's well that ends well. I'm very satisfied at this point and will continue doing business with them in the future.
