Thumbs up 1/4 miles times

Hey guys i'm new here. i live in south florida (Coral Springs next to Fort Lauderdale). My dream car is a 427' shelby cobra, i'm only 17 so i need to start saving, my dad got me into muscle cars when i was little and im glad because i hate those little ricers (imports) that people think are fast but really they are so slow they couldn't get out of there own way.My dad had a 1966 ford mustang running 13.5 and then he showed me a 427 shelby cobra and i fell in love. he told me what that car could do and stuff like that and i have read about the cobra in books. There is a car show every friday down here called towers they have some cobra's when i go which is like every teo weeks. My dad and i go. Now that's a car you don't play with. That's a car you should have great respect for. well let me get on i just wanted to know What does your shelby cobra run in the 1/4 mile ?

10.5's with the 3:08 rear and low 10's with the 4:10 gear...just got a call from my engine builder that my motor is done..had old one freshened and changed the cam, and had 3/8" taken out of each intake runner. Old cam specs .667 lift and 264 duration at 50 on a 108 degree centerline New specs .667 lift and 291 duration at 50 on 107 degree centerline I was looking to move the power band down a little and get more power. New cam picks up 30 horse and 35 lbs of torque at 2000 rpm and gives me a little wider power band Have to wait to get back to the track and see what difference it made...old shift point was 7200 with a 8200 redline....

Thumbs up

Hi,
You should check out the run and gun results. Street cobra's run in the 12's and 13's ,race cobra's are down to the 9's. The fastest cobra I know of is Colin from Alberta, he's gone 8.34 ET, looking to get into the 7's this year.
Perry.
