New york Registration

I am about to register my ERA cobra in Long Island New York if there is anybody out there who has titled a car on Long Island.I would like to make sure I have all my paper work in order before I send it off to Albany.

I remember that when I lived in New York (thirty-some years ago) I would stand in line forever with a fistful of papers, only to find out when I reached the counter that I was short at least one form or something and I would have to return another time and go through the whole process again. You could NOT (I think it was the law then) register a vehicle the first time you tried, and maybe not the second time either. I hope that's all changed.

I think there was a new bill that pasted to register replicas in New York and California
they would let 100 a year?
I know a guy (Allen Blay )who maybe able to help with the corect forms .
He is a hobbist first , insurance / appraiser for
specialty cars second . He is located in Merrick .
Come down to the snake pit in ( Freeport , spf dealer ) Saterday mornings .

it appears that the previous bills died in the transportation committee. This is where the current bills reside.

A05224 Creates a special registration and distinctive license plate for street rods and custom vehicles
S00615 Creates a special registration and distinctive license plate for street rods and custom vehicles

Seems that these bills have been sponsored and died in committee since 1997.

thanks guys I went and sent out my paper work to Albany for review and to see if I can get an apointment for inspection.I am cutting it close I hope to have my car on the road in time for DVS11.If Iam free saturday I'll see you at the snake pit
PS I am not on the computer every night but I do check the club when I am on.
