jag rear end grease fitting

Need some help...

Someone posted a picture of the aluminum outboard casting on the Jag rear end... They said they put an aftermarket grease fitting into it to allow for easier lubrication... Could someone steer me in the right direction?

You can just drill and tap the plug for a standard grease fitting.

What's the process for greasing it, the way it is, before the conversion?

You pull out the plug, pump in as much greese as you can (it comes out of the hole around the grease gun fitting). You push in as much of the mess as you can with your finger, then stick the cap back on and wipe off the excess.

P.S. If you lose the cap, a cork from a bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream fits perfectly!

Are JAG rear ends with inboard brakes that hard to service? Do you have to take the unit out to service the brakes?
They seem to build up a lot of heat and I have seen alot of converisions to outbroad brakes which are more $$$ but they may do a better job while making it easier to service. Anyone with opinions or experience??
I got the cork from the Harvey's now all I need is the rear end.

Servicing the rear inboard brakes is not that hard. First off they will not need it that often. Most rears will last though more than 2 sets of front pads. You just look at them when you service the car to keep track of wear.
You only have to grease the hubs after you have had them apart.
