And, exactly why not? Dress is long enough to enable modesty.

Take a closer look at the picture Turnpike.
Long dress, hot side pipes.
This is an accident waiting to happen........

If she climbed in over the trunk the side pipe issue is gone.

Yeah! - that's the ticket!
Tomsti, just got to love a progressive thinker! Bet the dress is make of soft enough material that it won't scratch the paint either.
Really, guys, where there's the will, there's a way.

My son is looking forward to taking the Cobra to his prom. I better get an asbestos cover for the passenger sidepipe, huh?

Whattya mean no way?? Heels are just a pivot point! More leverage for stiff clutch or brake pedals.

Good point Keith, I think I will INSIST my daughter take the Cobra. I'll just set the rev limit real low. As far as the dress, women deal with this all the time and I think she could handle getting in and out without a problem. She just needs some other shoes while driving.

My boss's son asked if he could take my car to the prom next year. nothing like sucking up to the boss... I'll have to think about it. I told him sure, but i'll be following behind the entire way!

racer24 I think you should rethink the idea. There is no hanky-panky in this car. I have tryed. Hope she has a great time. It's a once in a lifetime event. Have fun, be careful. Rick Lake

Put a set of sidepipe shields on so drivers and passengers don't get melted clothing or 3rd degree burns on calves or ankles. (Or make Nomex prom dresses)
Hanky panky in a Cobra? Don't know. Haven't "Christened" her yet. Depends on how old you are, and how bad you want it. A Triumph TR-4 is smaller than a Cobra and "It can (and was) be done" if you're 22, not 62. Ha Ha.

She had a wonderful time at Prom and I must say looked great. She has one more to go she's only a junior . She getting a kick out of the posts but say we are all too old. We are still young at heart. Going to Hooters Super Cruise-In in Peoria Sat. night. Hooter girls are available for photos with your car. Hooter girls and a Cobra might be worth the $$. All monies goes to St. Jude.

Hubby told me about this thread. Just wanted to add some things:
Of course Dad doesn't want the dress hem to get burnt. Do you guys know what these dresses cost?
Who cares if you actually go to the prom in it? That excitement lasts a short time, but the pictures last forever. When she's showing off prom pics to her kiddos that'll be the only thing that matters. That high dollar dress will just be the funny retro-thing then.
