Wind Wings...

Has anyone successfully replaced the plastic wind wings, with ones made out of glass.
I am tired of bugs and (my cigarettes) doing damage to the plastic. they are hard to clean adn scratch easily.

Can any glass shop cut a pair out of some sort of safety galss and drill the holes. What kind a glass one would use for this application?
