It was great idea to give the two examples to choose from. Personally, my car has to be red. That has always been my color. However, you'll get fewer tickets with blue. 
I would choose a darker shade of blue, though. I saw a really nice cobalt blue Cobra at a local show that was amazing. The red looks better after it gets a few scratches and dings though. If you drive your car much, it's something to think about.
