So much for the F5 buyout as claimed by F5 themselves.Wait 'till the new SAI "donor kits" go on sale."Real" CSX cars at donor kit prices.

casaleenie 06-04-2003 07:39 PM

There's a stock I'll stay away from....
Let's wait and see what happens here..

Excaliber 06-04-2003 08:07 PM

Well theres an interesting twist, Ginseng!

That will give the cars some Mojo.

Looks like the company(s) are gearing up to do business well into the future. The marketing name Shelby will be with us for a long long time. For me, it just won't be the same without the man himself at the helm! But life will go on, and the cars will go on, just like they did when Henry Ford or Enzo Ferrari passed the torch.

Question:
As I understand it Ford still owns the tradmark name Cobra, "allowing" Shelby to use the name (for now anyway). Down the road, I wonder how THAT will play out? I'm guessing that "name" will never be a part of the "Shelby Trademark" licensing company who owns all other tradmark rights to the Shelby name.

Future Cobras may not be allowed to be called "Cobras"? A powerful and provocative marketing name!

Overheard at the drive in:
"Wow, your car sure has a lot of get up and go! Whatcha got under the hood?"
"427 mg of Ginseng".
"No WONDER! Wow!

p.s.- don't waste your time doing a ragingbull.com search on the company. Not much there....

decooney 06-04-2003 08:21 PM

products?

I wonder,

what will happen with the Cobra itself, can it be improved, what will change? I will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Double Venom 06-04-2003 08:37 PM

OK, I'm having a brain lock moment. Why is the name "John Luft" so familiar?

DV...Don't forget Friday nights party is a BYOB affair! NOt to worry, the Mrs. and I are providing round trip transportation from and back to the hotels! Now, get those cookies made!

The SEC Rule 175 tag (the last paragraph) is especially ironic under the circumstances. Time indeed will tell.

Lookup Ginseng's symbol (GSGF) and you'll get a sense of what's going on. Casaleenie, I don't think you have much to worry about. ;)

BANDIT 1 06-04-2003 09:44 PM

Every time Shelby opens his mouth it's the same thing ( "The only authentic Shelby Cobra"). What a dumb statement, NO ****!

TomH 06-04-2003 09:55 PM

C'est Arrive!

Bubb Rubb 06-04-2003 10:15 PM

You guys got it all backwards. Shelby Enterprises didn't get bought, they made this move on their own, and if you think about it it was very smart. Re-read the article and you'll see what I mean.

Also F5 didn't claim they'd buy Shelby Enterprises!! F5 claimed they'd buy SAI. SAI is very different than Shelby Enterprises. From what I can see in the news with the things going on w/Venture, I betcha the old man is a lot smarter than we think and this year will turn out to be purty interesting.

I bet we see some good changes that are great for us enthusiasts too

Turk 06-04-2003 10:25 PM

Aren't we missing a lot of folks from the previous thread who had it all figured out and told us what was going on over at the FFR and SAI headquarters.?

Oh, I remember they heard it from horse's mouth in Carlisle.
All the FFR prices are going up, Shelby prices coming down, everything gets a CSX number, and on and on. Last time we had folks with pedictions arriving by the busload. Now we can't even fill a van to use the car pool lane.

Corporate America moves in strange ways.
Today some people bought stock at $4.00 a share. They were hoping to buy it at .35 cents. Didn't happen.

I wonder what would happen to the stock certificates, if Shelby signed each and everyone of them.

Stay tuned. It ain't over yet.

Maybe $3500.00 rebates AND 0% financing. Through Chrysler Financial.......wow! AND while they last...........we found 50 NOS Shelby Lancers, an several Shelby Omni's. Can you imagine that.

Not sure where you heard all that Turk. What I did hear, right from the "horses mouth himself", is that FFR was looking into the possibility of buying SAI. The only other "rumor" I heard was when Silverbullet said that Dave Smith told him it was a "done deal". Nothing about CSX numbers, prices, etc.

I am confused because the article talks about Shebly Automobiles and Shelby Licensing being bought but makes no mention of Shelby-American Inc(SAI).

Why would a vitamin and nutrition company get involved in the car industry?....talk about new business ventures. Ginseng and St. John Wart in every glovebox.

That's GREAT news now I feel:
1. Energized
2. Not Depressed
3. My arthritis is subsiding
4. My sexual potency is increasing
5. My muscles and bones have more calcium and feel stronger
6. my vision is like a hawk
7. my arteries are unclogging
8. my prostate is shrinking
9. my hearing is like a bat
10. AND I'm growing hair.

This provides a whole new twist on purchasing something healthy. I just wonder how long it will take the Surgeon General to mandate a warning sticker on cobras!
Remember the Ginseng Disclaimer: These are not medicines but "supplementals".:D

My only question is: where are my new knives?
