Default 427W engine by Performance Engineering

For those wishing to install a 427W in their Cobras.

Just took delivery of my Superformance. Had a 427W built by Eric at Performance Engineering pumping out 566Hp. Had it just a day now and it is everything I had hoped for and then some. They are a class shop and would use them again in a heartbeat. See the photo attached.

Question Build specs

Can you tell us what heads, cam, carb and intake manifold you have in this setup?
Cast iron block; which one? I hope 4 bolt mains.
What kind of torque?
What were the rpm's where power was made?
What kind of power curve? I assume that Dynamic ran it on the dyno to show you the numbers.
566hp is impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that it is "Streetable."
Mine doesn't like anything below 1800rpm with dual plane and 770 Street Avenger, but pulls really strong up to 6000, max 6500rpm. We made 534 ft/lbs @ 4800 rpm; power curve was pretty flat from 3200 up to 4800.

Enquiring minds want to know.

Default 427W from Performance Engineering

Sorry I did not respond sooner. Had to work.

Here is a summary of my 427W engine specs as per Eric of Performance Engineering.

Dart block, 4.125 cylinder bore, 4.100 stroke, 6.200 rod length, 10.25 to 1 compression ratio, Victor Jr Edelbrock manifold, Compcams cam.580 lift intake .576 lift exhaust, Airflow Research heads, 850 cfm Speed Demon carburetor. Hyd lifters. 566Hp @ 5,800 rpm, 557 lbs fdt torque.

I am quite sure that Eric would be able to give you guys a better and more in depth description of the engine. His phone number is 513-738-5001. He is very reasonable, professional and honest. You cannot go wrong with him. Give him a call.

I am just getting used to the power and torque of this beast so I am really navigating uncharted waters at this time therefore I am not pushing it at this time.
